The Georgian Group staged its inaugural Craft Prize awards at Goldsmiths’ Hall on 9th May during the 2019 London Craft Week festival.
The awards, designed to complement the Group’s long-standing Architectural Awards, recognise and celebrate excellence in those traditional crafts that are supported by the Livery Companies of the City of London and their associated charities.
The Plaisterers’ Company had nominated and was delighted to have two Award winners – Kevin Ackland (of Locker & Riley) was presented with a ‘Master’ Award and Esme Walker (the Company’s Prince’s Foundation Bursary Student) was presented with the ‘Apprentice’ Award.
In addition, Esme was also presented with the Chairman’s Prize as the overall winner.
Many congratulations to them both! – pictured here with the Master.
