On Saturday 10 December 282 (East Ham) Air Cadets held their Christmas Dinner at Plaisterers' Hall, and what a success it was.  

Historically they have held this at the RAF Club but decided to move a couple of miles east to us as we could offer them a dance floor for the after dinner party. Unfortunately the dinner clashed with a football match but a compromise was reached which allowed those that wanted to watch a big screen and everyone else to eat drink and be merry. Spoiler alert - France won.  

We were entertained after dinner by Cameron Blaauw who sang, and then the dance floor opened. We're not sure Plaisterers' Hall has seen the like before as over a hundred 282 cadets, friends and families bounced and conga'd around the Hall. And yes the Clerk was seen to strut his stuff, as did the Master, Wardens and Deputy Master.  

The following day the 282 Band marched proudly into the Tower of London and played to their normal high standard for tourists and Ravens. There were a few baggy heads amongst the band, but they didn’t let that get in the way of some first rate carols and band music.
