Plaisterers Training Awards

The Plaisterers’ Training Awards recognise the highest standards of achievement in training and education within the UK drylining and plastering trade.

Since their introduction in 2001, the Awards have grown significantly in content and importance. In 2008 the awards were enhanced by the addition of The John G Robinson Trophy, presented to the best overall performing college from the regions, together with a cheque for £1,500.

Entries are invited for two different award categories each fully reflecting crucial aspects of training, education and 
life-long learning that has now become a priority focus within 
the British construction industry.

Each category fully reflects crucial aspects of training, education and life-long learning that has now become a priority focus within the British construction industry.

National College Awards:

  • John G. Robinson Trophy

Student of the Year Award Application

Do you know someone who has achieved something special through training in Plastering and Drylining in the last two years?

After the success of the Student of the Year Award, introduced for the first time in 2010, we are pleased to invite nominations for Student of the Year 2018.

The prize will be for the student or students, who in the opinion of the independent Judging Panel, best fulfil the criteria. The winner will receive a cash prize of £350, a copy of Millars, (the plasterers “Bible”), and a certificate signed by the Master of The Plaisterers’ Company.

Whilst it is expected that most entries will be from Colleges, the competition is open to candidates of all ages who have undergone some form of training and/or assessment whilst working in the plastering and drylining sector in the last two years.

Apprentice of the Year Award Application

Do you know an apprentice who deserves recognition for either their achievements, commitment or simply overcoming unusual challenges while training in Plastering and Drylining during the last two years?

The Plaisterers’ Company is pleased to invite nominations for the Apprentice of the Year Award. The prize will be for the apprentice, who in the opinion of an Independent Judging Panel, best fulfils the criteria. The winner will receive a cash prize of £350, and an inscribed copy of Millar’s, (the plasterers “Bible”).

The Award is open to candidates of all ages who have been registered on a national recognised course, i.e. Modern Framework/Trailblazer, and have been employed in the Plastering and Drylining Industry in the past 2 years.

They may be at any level, although it is anticipated that to fully demonstrate the criteria, he/she will have completed one year of training.

Whilst it is expected that most entries will be from Colleges, the competition is open to candidates of all ages who have undergone some form of training and/or assessment whilst working in the plastering and drylining sector in the last two years.
