The Master

Our Master for 2026-2027 is Jon Randall

Jon grew up in the West of England where his family were timber merchants and farmers, however after gaining a degree in International Relations from Keele University in 1989, Jon joined a “Big 4” firm of accountants in Bristol, and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser.

Jon moved with work to London in 1992 where he spent the rest of his career, commuting weekly from Gloucestershire. Jon has served on the Boards of three “Top 10” firms of accountants. Jon’s roles have also included; National Tax Training Manager, Head of Private Client and Business Tax, National Head of Tax, London Regional Managing Partner, Head of Special Projects, Chief Operating Officer, Head of Integration and Transformation, as well as Chairman of Pension Trustees.

Jon retired in 2022 and now spends much of his time on not for profit and charity related activities, serving on a number of committees. Jon is a keen Liveryman and a member of the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers and the Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers. Jon’s other interests include motorcycling having owned over 20 bikes, and when time allows, skiing, travelling and diving.

Jon has been married to Jo for 30 years and they have three daughters.
