7th April, 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Plaisterers' Hall, One London Wall
This year, we will have a more informal evening to allow you to enjoy a visit to the Museum of London as well as a convivial supper. The Museum of London is the Master’s Charity this year. The arrangements will also provide a more reasonably priced event that might encourage attendance by some of the younger members of your family or friends. Prospective members may also want to experience an informal Plaisterers’ evening.
The evening will start at 6pm at the Museum of London with the doors being thrown open for an exclusive Plaisterers’ visit and with some special exhibits on show just for us. As the Museum is just across the road from the Hall the call for dinner will summon you as usual. After reception drinks there will be a two-course meal seated at round tables. Our guest speaker will be the Museum Director, Sharon Ament, who has previously worked at the Natural History Museum. Sharon is passionate about the impact of culture on young people. The Guildhall Library will be lending us the original 1501 Ordinances and Charter of the Company which are illustrated with the Tudor family tree together with some of the other archives held by them. They will be on display at the Hall for the first time.
