Applications for Master Plasterer

Following submission of all the required documentation, a panel of Liverymen with a strong plastering background will assess all applications. Successful applicants will receive a signed and sealed certificate from the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers and may be eligible to apply to become Freeman of the Company (subject to complying with the requirements).

There are two ways to become a Master Plasterer.

Either...

Provide evidence of 20 years of experience in the plastering industry and, at a minimum, be qualified to Level 3 plastering, Advanced Craft Award, NVQ Level 3, SVQ Level 3 or Diploma Level 3 AND be accepted for City & Guilds’ licentiateship;

Or...

Master Plasterer status may also be granted to experienced plasterers who are able to demonstrate that they have sufficient technical skill and expertise in the plastering trade. They may be currently active as a plasterer or may have started their careers “on-the-tools” and moved into other roles in the industry.

Plasterers wishing to be considered will need to be able to provide the following:

Holders of the Master Plasterer Certificate are obliged to conform to recognised codes of professional standards and the certificate remains valid as long as the person remains on the Master Plasterers’ Register as maintained by the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers. Submissions must be accompanied by a single payment to the Company of £25 for registration.
