After less than four hours of sleep, the Master and Clerk were at Canary Wharf shortly after 5am on Friday 20th September. 

The reason? To see Magical Taxi Tour taxis, organised annually by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers and including one sponsored by the Plaisterers Charity, gather to take children with potentially life-threatening illnesses on a three-day trip to Disneyland in Paris.

Waving off over 90 taxis with excited children and their parents and carers inside, knowing some of those children could have limited futures, was an emotional experience.

The excitement at their forthcoming adventure justified the cause, and it was wonderful to see the Plaisterers' Charity work in action.
