The Master, Court and Plaisterers wish to congratulate two of our members named in the recent Kings Birthday Honours List. 

Past Master, Alderman, Canon Alison Gowman has been awarded CBE in recognition of her public and voluntary work, particularly in the area of sustainability. 

She was Master Plaisterer in 2019-2020 and recently Sheriff of the City of London. Alison has served the City of London for many years, having been first elected in 1991. She is currently the City Corporation lead for Climate Action but above all is a Liveryman of the Plaisterers.

Freeman, Lieutenant General Charlie Stickland CB, OBE, Royal Marines, received a Knighthood. Charlie has served in the Royal Marines for three decades and is currently the Chief of Joint operations. 

He was Commandant General Royal Marines between January 2018 and June 2019.
