Esme Walker, the first Plaisterers’ Company bursary student training with the Prince’s Foundation Building Crafts Programme has completed her work in heritage plastering.
Timothy Cooke, Master of the Plaisterers’ Company, said: “Many congratulations to Esme. She is a very talented young lady who has a tremendous career opportunity ahead of her. Well done and we wish her every success.”
The Plaisterers’ Company established a partnership with the Prince’s Foundation during 2018 to support students on the Foundation’s Building Craft Programme.
The first recipient Esme Walker (pictured), is a 28-year old plasterer from Skelmersdale in Lancashire.
The Plaisterers’ Company is committed to training and life-long learning in the plastering trade by offering formal Annual Bursaries,.
The beneficiaries will probably be students currently undergoing training in the sector but may also be established practitioners who wish to enhance their knowledge or experience.
The Plaisterers’ Company Industry Committee will give consideration to any application that supports and maintains the quality and diversity of plastering and drylining skills in the UK.
