Nine members of the Company participated in the City’s Annual Sheep Drive recently, including Liveryman Peter York wearing his toastmaster ‘uniform’ and his son, Liveryman Dr Andrew York, who emulated James Bond in honour of the release of the new 007 film!
This historic event allows Freemen to drive their sheep over London Bridge – however, this year it was Southwark Bridge. The event is also attended by the Lord Mayor of the City of London and a VIP guest participates – this year Amanda Owen, the Yorkshire Shepherdess, was the celebrity ‘driver. Family and friends were able to observe the driving and all of the participants received their official certificate.
Well done to all of the participants👏
