The Training Awards
Heritage Plastering
In November each year the Plaisterers’ Company recognise achievement and success in developing and protecting plastering skills with the Plaisterers’ Training Awards. Now working closely with FIS, we’re ensuring that we offer an exciting annual Industry and Training awards event.

The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers is committed to participating fully in the economic and social fabric of the City of London and working closely with stakeholders across the plastering industry.
By working in partnership we are able to leverage greater value and bring wider benefits for the community we represent.
If your organisation has an opportunity to contribute and could bring synergistic benefits to the sector, then we want to hear from you. Please get involved and contact us.
The Company encourages excellence in all aspects of plastering. It awards trophies and prizes to plastering colleges, and in 1969, inaugurated the Plaisterers’ Trophy. In 2009 three new Trophies were awarded to the companies judged to have carried out the best solid plastering, fibrous plastering and GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum) and drylining contracts in the country each year.
The Company is proud of its history representing and supporting the Plastering Trade. Information on our involvement with those currently working as plasterers and dry liners can be found on the Trade Support pages of this website.
The company is dedicated to continuously support education and training in the plastering trade, and remains in close contact with the British plastering industry.
Plastering Education
We have been working with both the FIS and The Skills Centre to agree on a variation to their standard course in Construction, enabling them to include basic plastering skills.
The course gives an introduction to construction for learners with no prior experience and will provide the knowledge, skills and qualifications to launch a career in interior systems. We're very pleased that plastering is now part of it.
Trade Career Events
Increasing our active support for the plastering trade is one of our objectives and we have been doing this by attending various careers events around London.
We can only plant a seed but hope that, by bringing our trade to the attention of young people and schools, we can begin to build a recognition that Plastering, in all its forms, can provide a fulfilling career path to people starting, or changing, their careers.
